weather

It has been WONDERFUL weather recently....I guess spring really is coming early. I don't know why, but when it's warmer, it just puts me in a much better mood. I'm not big on super hot weather but 50s is probably my favorite temperature ever. For college mentors yesterday, we went outside and played with the kids and it just made the day great. Also, Valentine's Day was Monday and my mom sent me the nicest package ever. Valentine's Day is probably bigger for her than any other holiday. Lots of people hate it, but I think it's fun because I love sending valentines to my friends. And there is chocolate too, what's too hate?! Anyways, it's been a pretty good week so far (except for writing my Stroop paper....11 pages), plus I'm going home this weekend, so I can't wait!

So this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and still trying to figure out how that could be.

tweet @ me

I just made a twitter...not sure how to feel about it. But it's similar to a blog, just with shorter posts. Kind of. Anyways, I'm still figuring it out, but I think I will learn to love it or it will turn into something that I'm excited about for a while and then forget about. Anyways, if you want to follow me, my username is just my first and last name with no space (I don't want to write it directly on here, not sure if the blogging world is ready for so much personal information).

Post Groundhog Day

Groundhog day is actually one of my favorite holidays. I like to celebrate by watching the movie Groundhog day, which sounds stupid but is actually a GREAT movie that will last through the ages. It is about a weatherman who is trapped in groundhog day and has to live the day over and over until he gets the day perfectly right. Anyways, I would recommend it to one and all. Unfortunately, I don't have it at school with me, so I just slept late yesterday (since my first class was cancelled!), worked out, and watched friends before lab. But it was still a pretty good groundhog day. I guess I always like the smaller, low-pressure holidays much more than the big ones. Christmas and Thanksgiving time are nice, but just so much stress. Don't even get me started on my birthday. I hate it in case you didn't know. I love 4th of July and groundhog day though. It's just a great way to brighten your day! Anyways, according to punxsutawney phil(yes, I had to look up how to spell that...I'm still not sure if that's right), we are supposed to have an early spring! That's pretty hard to believe considering the FREEZING weather we've been having. I actually cannot remember it ever being this cold. At least I didn't have to walk around and be outside if it ever actually was this cold before. Currently, it is 13 degrees. Seriously way too freezing. Well, off to actually get some work done!

Ice Day!

Well classes were cancelled last night and this morning due to all of the ice! The campus is definitely not safe. Sadly I have still had to go to most of my classes and now I am psych lab with Maddie. It is especially boring today because we are in the library learning how to use all of the online resources and such. But the lady presenting was so rude and icy. Anyways, I didn't pay attention at all, but now I am realizing that I probably should have. Because we have a huge lab writeup paper due soon and it is going to be so difficult. Also it is way harder to find information on the stroop effect than I originally thought. Maddie and I are going to get dinner after class because we're both bored and starving. Well, Linds (our lab instructor) is now explaining the paper so I better listen stay warm everyone!

Finally

January is over! I hate that month more than anything. Now, that it's February there is at least a chance of some warmer days. Although there is currently a huge ice storm, and it seems like we're the only school in the state that still has classes. I can't wait for it to be warm again. Only one month until March which means spring break. I'm so sick of winter.
